Some virus type site downloaded the damn google tool bar to my computer without my inviting it. It is not listed in the add and remove programs list. Where do I go to delete this google virus?
I already said the google tool bar is not listed in the add remove programs list. Also I cannot click on tools, because the google tool bar covers the Internet Explorer tabs, so they are not available.

in your browsers toolbar click on ‘view’ then click ‘toolbars’ and unmark the google toolbar. toolbars with a mark in the front appear, those with no mark don’t appear.

pop ups are not viruses.
It’s a form of advertising.
You do not need to do anything, just let the blocker block them from poping up.
The reason yahoo has a pop up blocker for their users to use, because they know how annoying it is to have commercials constantly poping up.

Had the security tools virus a month or so ago. Ran several antivirus programs. Ever since then, occasionally, when I get on IE the Google tool bar will not load. Also, still getting redirected during searches sometimes, so guessing I still have some sort of virus. Malaware-bytes program has not detected anything new so not sure where to go from there! Not even sure a virus is causing my missing toolbar problem???

2) IE>Tools>Manage Add On>Click on Toolbars Extensions>Disable any unknown add on. (Make sure that all add on is chosen at the bottom left of the page).

I was on the internet reading and the MS Removal Tool popped up and my desktop background went to blue and started scanning and saying I had viruses which I knew not to be true so, I pressed the red X button on the right corner of the window and it asked me if I wanted to continue without protection and I would click ok as it would not let me do anything else until that was pressed. Then I continued to get those annoying pop ups and I even opened my anti-virus software (it opened just fine) and I closed that and immediately looked up MS Removal Tool on Google and I found the sites on how to remove it and started to read and then Firefox stopped responding then my screen went black. I didn’t know what to do but power down. I turned my laptop back on and it asked if I wanted to start Windows normally and clicked on that and have been reading Yahoo Answers about it ever since. My question is how do I know I have it? I haven’t had any of those pop ups everything is working fine and opening fine. I did a scan with my anti-virus and everything came back normal. I’m just wondering if I’m infected or not?

I have tried deleting the Security Tool Virus twice now and it just keeps popping up. To attempt to delete it, first I start laptop and go into task manager and disable the process with the name of something like “73982383.exe”, with this disabled, I don’t get the annoying Security Tool Pop up, Then I can then use SpyWare Doctor and Anti Virus I got in the Google Pack. I then run a scan and get 4 threats and 31 viruses, I then delete these problems and restart my computer. When i turn my computer back on, I get the Security Tool virus Pop Up.
What am I doing wrong? Should I write down the process and delete it from my laptop hard drive? Or should I use another Anti Virus software?
Thank you all for any answers

Try running Hitman Pro as well.
Spyware Doctor removes the virus, but it might miss trojan downloader that reinstalls it.
I had good results by using both programs each after another.
