No.. unless your definition of ‘iconic’ is different than mine I highly doubt it exists.. since the ‘iconic person’ is busy doing what makes them iconic and not trying to do news in multiple languages..

And not the site itself, if you know what I mean.
I’ve tried to find information on significant archaeological sites which centre around the way the site was excavated & not the site itself. I’ve tried so many archaeological sites, but I can’t find much information on how they were excavated – which is what my assignment particularly asks for.
Do you know any good websites that have information on the EXCAVATION of a famous archaeological site? Or do you know any good archaeological sites which were famous for their excavation?
Thank you insanely in advance.

If I remember correctly, we’re both in Year 11 and in Queensland, right? Because that sounds like an assignment I actually completed last term. I don’t know if this will be helpful or not, but I’ll tell you what I based mine on and maybe it will help you think of other ideas;
I focused my essay on Tollund Man, in Denmark. While my assignment did discuss that actual excavation, I also talked about how his discovery was significant in the fact that it led to the advances in modern scientific archaeological methods. It was actually quite interesting because he wasn’t the only bog body found in that particular area; Elling Woman was another. Although, researching her to tie it into my assignment was a bit of a pain.
The only other thing I thought about when reading this, was Otzi, the iceman. There’s been some really interesting documentaries done on him and they talk about the excavation *and* dating methods and techniques.
Sorry if I just went completely off topic and led you in the wrong direction, but sometimes I find ideas can stem off that way. : ) Good luck with your assignment!

My friends showed me this place that allows you to mark what interests you and the site will take you to other sites based on your interests that you may like. Does anyone know what I’m talking about? Thanks.

There’s one called stumbleupon where you select your interests and then hit stumble, you can find some really interesting things that way.
If it’s not the one then check it out anyway, you may be pleasantly surprised

I’ve read that localization can lead to an increase in e-sales of a company outside its language borders. What exactly is web site localization? And how would a company go about localizing its web site? There must be more to it than simply translating a site’s content.

The most obvious method of localizing a site is to translate the text on the site into the language of the person viewing the site. Other examples are displaying prices in the local currency or formatting addresses and phone numbers according to the local area.
The first thing a company has to do in order to localize their website is to internationalize it. This means, they design their site to support different languages, formats, fonts, character-sets, layouts, etc.
You are right, it is not as simple as translating a site’s content. In fact, the cost of internationalization and localization for many companies can be very high. This is the reason so few websites are localized. In many cases, it just isn’t worth the cost and effort.

I used a site that would resend an email, from your inbox, back to your inbox, that could be one day, one week, one year, or anytime. I forget the site, it was free for one day, but there was a fee for longer periods. Anyone know the site?

I at one time had the perfect site for identifying some of my violets whenever I bought new ones. After my computer died months ago, I lost the site in my favorites and can’t even remember what it was called. I am looking for a site that gives details on MANY varieties. (Not the Optimira site, The Violet Barn, or the African Violet Society) Help will be much appreciated!

I have tried and now fed up of visiting and registering at scam sites. Most of the famous sites and sites come first in search engine results are scam. I tried paid to read, paid to sign up, surveys but none of the sites paid as they narrate at the beginning. If I find any good sites they are limited to USA, UK and few countries. Do you have any site which pays higher except those scam PTR, PTC or books and CDs on google ad revenue boosters?

I keep reading on YA on so many people looking for ways to earn money by web site, phone, out of their home or wherever. So I did a lot of research, investigations, and what have you not and created a blog on my yahoo 360 page on home based business opportunities for both online as well as off line businesses which is the best way to earn money. Working for someone else either out of your home or someplace else, your looking at minimum wage or low income pay. After taxes, your take home then becomes below minimum wage or at minimum wage earnings which isn’t a sufficient amount of money.
My blog has a lot of information on scams and what to look for, information on various high income opportunities that are international businesses, information on businesses and the bbb as well as a variety of a few other things you should read on and learn about.

I am interested in ordering two new clarinets (a Yamaha and a Buffet) from online. I have look up a few sites but I don’t think they’re very good sites for ordering. Any suggestions on a site that is cheap with great discounts or payment plans and is trustable?

I’ve bought several instruments on eBay, including three clarinets, and they’ve all turned out alright. On the internet, you have to remember the maxim “Caveat Emptor” – or buyer beware. Don’t rush into a purchase – make sure you know exactly what you’re buying. Ask sellers questions if you have them – remember, that as the potential customer you have the right (and the obligation to yourself) to do so. eBay also have buyer protection, which mitigates the risk, but it’s best to not have to use that option.
For an actual music retailer online, there are many. I’ve had a good experience with http://www.musicfactorydirect.com, but Google Product Search can find many retailers for clarinets and other products with reviews from other buyers for their trustworthiness.

I want to send one of my friends a birthday ecard on myspace. What’s the best site to get good ecards from that will work/show up on other sites? I can’t pay money, so please make sure the site is free.

I have stopped using those. The free greeting card site is a way to get your email as well as your friend’s email address, then both will get tons of junk mail.
Send myspace greeting or just write nice email to your friend.
